DIRTY SEXY MONEY

So after a crazy premiere week I realized that I didn't get to check out everything I wanted to last week. Although I have a DVR i'm not always around to play catch up. Thankfully most networks are showing their new shows in their entirety online. Yesterday I took advantage of this feature and got to watch the premiere of Dirty Sexy Money. I have to say that I really enjoyed this show.

The reason I am putting this up here is because not only did they use good music throughout the episode, but they managed to fit in a very clever sonic strategy. Each member of the darling family has a different song programmed in as their ringtone on Nick's (the family lawyer) phone. Each ringtone is very specific to the characters personality and was really a brilliant idea.

  1. Yeah, the music was key to the pacing of the show. Totally music driven. I agree about the ringtones; music with plot consequences, as when "Pretty Woman" played to the wife's chagrin. Good vehicle. As far as the show goes, I'd say the characters were pretty over-the-top stereotypes. It was sort of a turn off, but the show was fun to watch and very memorable.
