Classic Movie Mondays 15

Wow, it's pretty crazy that we've been doing this blog for over fifteen weeks now. Thanks to everyone who comments on the posts and makes suggestions to us for future postings. We like to keep this a community environment. Speaking of communities...

Bed-Stuy Brooklyn in the summer of 1989 was where a young film maker by the name of Spike Lee painted a picture of bigotry and racial conflict in a multi-ethnic community. The accompanying soundtrack was equally as powerful. Public Enemy's "Fight The Power" was an anthem of empowerment to a generation of young black males trying to escape a life of poverty and crime. Once again, music overcomes.
