In the summer of 1993 there was this semi sixties and seventies revival going on around where I lived in suburban New Jersey. We were all listening to classic rock, rocking tye dye shirts, and driving around the neighborhood doing things we shouldn't have been doing *cough cough*. I guess there were so many of us that Hollywood decided it would be the perfect time to capitalize and make a movie catering to kids like myself. In comes Richard Linklater's "Dazed & Confused". Not only did it have a fun story line and characters we could all relate with, it had a BITCHIN soundtrack! Although every song in the movie works perfect i'm only going to drop two on here today.
The first one is Alice Coopers "School's Out". Althought this song had been used in this same type of scene before no film ever captured it like Dazed did.
and of course the great ending that is Foghat's "Slowride"
