Kanye West Storytellers
Kanye West's VH1 Storytellers episode aired last Saturday, but I just got to watching it yesterday. I wanted to highlight the episode for its bold visual style. Kanye is obviously style-conscious, but I was impressed that he took a performance on Storytellers--usually used for artists to get personal and intimate with the fans--and used it to show the audience who he is, rather than tell. The set design was next-level; a real wonder to look at. Whether it's his performance here or on SNL or on tour, time and time again Kanye shows that he's a master at combining music and visuals to create truly unique experiences. Also make sure to peep the strange Star Wars-esque costumes the band is wearing; awesome.
Embedded above is the "Touch the Sky" performance. You can catch the rest of Kanye's Storytellers episode here.
